Picked up a 73
Picked up a 73 today that someone was going to make into a puller. It has a K241 instead of the 7hp that I would have really liked to have. Its not really in too bad of shape, the steering is tight, no rust really. Not sure if the engine is good, it does have some compression but I have a 12 horse I will throw in it and make this a worker. Might slick it up down the road sometime.

I like finding tractors in that condition because i can feel free to customize as i see fit. Nice save, now build something cool out of it.

Have a 100 that is pretty complete but wore slap out that I can rob some lift parts off of. I will keep updating this. Randy

Nice find! My 72 has a k241 in it, and does great as a worker! I love the gear drive gt's for the heavy stuff!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
