Busy Cub Weekend!
Got a lot of Cub time in today, good seat time on the 147 cutting the open space and under the power lines where the neighborhood kids like to run and play ball. The oldest boy also got 'supervised' seat time on his 80 cutting a patch under the power lines. He is really taking to running and looking after his little tractor 'just like you, Dad', he says... me like
1450: Lights working again, repaired wiring and fuse holder and got new headlight boots for grille screen. Painted and installed lower grille screen without hole for muffler. Removed the tiller gearbox for pending sale. Also started prepping the 'A' style mule drive for paint. Have to put a flat idler pulley on a 44A deck that has a front wheel kit installed and see how it runs before I consider painting the deck too... 125: 'New' fenders installed, took a peek at the trunnion while the left fender was off; it's bad in there! Will need springs and a keystock trunnion repair when I split it in the near future. Also replaced wrong taillight with proper Speaker light and re-routed power wire away from pinch points and cut to proper length. Grille added (thanks GBH) and shoulder bolts replaced along with the incorrect headlight that you see in my avatar. Gas tank repair still holding and dry! Also aligned front end, centered steering wheel and cap, and installed 'new' hood (thanks again, GBH). It's starting to look like a proper 125 again! Tomorrow it's off to my buddy's to get his newly aquired 107 up and running with a 'new' fuel tank and fuel bowl (thanks AGAIN GBH) and battery. If he doesn't like the 107 better than his Craftsman with bagger, it will probably come home with me.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
