Very nice! I keep trying to convince the wife to let me get 220 wired up in my basement garage. Dad has a 80's vintage century arc welder and a 80 gallon upright compressor he'd let me have.

Thanks Jeff this is definitely new to me. I have welded with acetylene and stick so this should prove interesting.

You're gonna love that welder, Steve. I've got a Handler 140 I've had about 6 yrs or so, use it every week. If you can stick weld, you'll be all over this.

Good to hear...Just need to get a handle on the heat settings and how much gas to run other than that I don't see any issues.

Steve,
The chart on the spool door cover will get you near enough to make minute adjustments and you'll be welding in no time. It takes into account thickness of metal, wire speed, heat setting and type of gas mix. It's pretty accurate.

Nice tools!! I will prolly be waayyyy off on this but is that last smooth weld pic you posted some sort of custom sleeve hitch to pin or ball hitch adapter??

Bought a "Q" size argon bottle ( about 3' tall ) for the TIG welder.

The empty bottle was $268 and I purchased it thru work at their discount.
