I see it too. It is looking great. Did you have to do anything to the drive shaft at the pump side?

Well, the progress has been good the last couple of days. I cleaned all the tin by wet sanding with 2000 grit and then buffed it with 3M Super Cut. It's still a little flat but I don't dare go any further. I plan to repaint it after a couple months shake down for all the mechanicals.
I had to replace the bearings in the fan shaft ($12) and replace the belt tension idler for the fan ($9). Once I got it running after a total fuel supply replacement (flush tank, hoses and filters) I noticed a lot a bearing noise up front. After slipping the belt off it, all was quiet. This one was a fun project. I'll start a new post when the turbo installation begins.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
