Welp... the deal fell through. I guess I'm just going to put everything in the 1250 including the hydraulic lift. Gonna trade it for an 82 series with a hydraulic lift. Hopefully something with a magnum so I can swap it into a John deere.

So you want to build a hydrostatic lawnmower with hydraulic lift, then try to trade it for the same thing just newer and with a twin cylinder. Then take the engine out of what you trade for and cobble it up to go into another brand. So the third tractor would be a mutt like the first, only the second would be a thoroughbred, correct?

Welp, got the transmision in, and attempted to get the motor in. I dont know what happened but now the oil pan cradle bolts have about a quarter inch farther back to go, and no matter what I tried, they just wouldn't line up. I'll try taking the cradle off the frame and attempt to bolt them onto the motor then bolt them to the frame, but I'm unsure that'll work.

Me, I love the single cylinder Kohler thumpers! I'm sure they can lose traction just as easy as some twin cylinders, lol!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
