Ben
I know the sand needs to be dry for it to work. I figure for what it cost's if it works even half as good as they claim then I'll be happy. We will see.

Well I got the sandblaster today, only took Fed Up a week to get it from NC to VA. Ordered a spare nozzle while I was at it, that showed up last week and the blaster showed up today. Both shipped from the same place. Shipping them both together in one box would have been too much like smart. No gotta make two deliveries to the same place on two different days. I give up.
Anyway I know the quality of the blaster is the best cause it's made in CHINA. LMAO. I'll let you guys know if it works as soon as I can.

Next project will be a couple 60" Haban decks come spring time. It's nice when something works as advertised. So far I've used some mason sand from Lowes and some 40 grit quartz sand blasting sand I picked up at NAPA. I want to try something a bit coarser next time. Also I need to make some kind of hopper for the sand, the pail deal is a PITA as the sand is used up you need to keep tipping the pail. Ve Gonna Fix Dat By Golly

you don't want to try it when it's about 15 out and see if you can get instant ice powder coating?

If I were you I'd use rust converter before you prime. There's still a lot of discoloration visible where the really bad rust was.

The tower is not finished yet, ran out of sand. It's also got a couple holes that are rotted through that need to be patched. Figure once I get done with all the cutting and welding to make the M12 fit I will hit it once more with the blaster then some POR15 and paint it Red & White. I also want to try it on some sheet metal before I do the hood to be sure it won't destroy it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
