Tire chain tool
I took the tires off the 1450 to tighten the chains up, after letting the air out I cinched them down and thought I could get them tighter if I just had something to pull the chains together a little bit. Went to looking around my shed for scraps to build a tool and went to my tool box to grab something and a brake spring tool sat right there in front of me. They are perfect for squeezing that last link into place.

Thats nice!
What do you think of using chains in blow sand?? My boss has a old monkey ward garden mower he wants to use to pull dirt/sand around with and I recommended weights and chains to him.I almost got him hooked on the old cubs but they are difficult to find around here unless you want to take a drive!!He regularly gets frustrated because hes stuck in the sand,I know how he feels I had a crapsman that was great for digging holes and mowing a lawn!!Hes actually going to look at the 2000/3000 series new cubs. Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
