Hey..... um, I want to return to the original subject for a minute. I guess I wasn't really paying attention when I read this thread the first time. Maybe it was just a typo on your part, but in your original post you say you have a 2082 and a 451 snowblower, but that you need a 450. Is that info correct? Because if it is, you have the right blower. The 2082 needs a 451, not a 450. So....... what do you have exactly?

If my memory is correct the 2082 could have a 450 or a 451 blower. Just depends on the serial number.

I didn't check the serial number break. You are correct. So...... it comes down to serial number then.

Yeah, the earlier ones had the mags then they went to the commands. He needs to get a pic of the engine.

Since I am the one who started this thread, let me jump in here. I have an early serial number 2082, an it does have a Magnum. The magnums have a PTO with a small (4.5" if I remember) pulley, the later serial number 2082's have the Command engines with a 6" PTO pulley. The early tractors use the 450 blowers the later ones use the 451. The only difference is the ratio of the gearbox. I converted the 451 to a 450 by swapping the gear box. It would have been easier if I could have changed the PTO but nobody makes a PTO for a 1 1/4" shaft with a 6" pulley.

You say that later 2082's have Command's, I can't find anything that confirms that. Parts Tree, Tractor data all say Mag 20's for both early and late 2082's.

That's what I thought, too. I know the 2072 had an Onan in early serials, then went to the Mag, but I never thought/knew the 2082 switched engines

Looks like I was under a false impression that the 2082 changed engines at the serial number break. I wrongly assumed when the PTO shaft changed size from 1 1/4" to 1 1/8" the engine changed too. Looks like only thing changed was the spec number of the Magnum engine. Anyone out there with a 2082 that has a serial number 821060 or higher that can verify that for me? I guess what helped to confuse me is the late 2082's share the PTO with the 2084 that has the Command engine.

I checked on Parts Tree, the early 2082's have as you said an 1-1/4" crank and the later 2082 have an 1-1/8" crank.

Cub Cadet 717-3043 PTO Clutch for 1/1/4" shaft
Cub Cadet 759-3303 Armature

Cub Cadet 759-3646 Armature

If it was me I'd call Warner and see if they can come up with a clutch like the one used on the later 2284's but with a 1-1/4" bore. The Warner series is TG2000
