All this urine talk will have people stealing fluid out of port - a - potties like people steal used cooking oil now!!
  Just buy http://www.milorganite.com/ fertilizer, its already in there!! Several farmers locally use it as a fertilizer and swear it keeps animals away!!

I do know human hair will stop a deer in their tracks on a deer trail, we use it do make the deer use a differant trail in the woods. It's the smelliest part of a human.
What we do is ask the local barber or salon to bag up a days worth, then just sprinkle it out on the ground. Should work in a garden.

I used to use electric fence to keep the deer out. I'm told aluminum foil smeared with peanut butter and wrapped on the fence will train them.
The electric fence worked until we got chickens. The birds were worse than the deer! I bought some bamboo poles and deer netting. The bamboo I wired to the steel t-posts, and then wired the fence to the bamboo. 7' deer netting keeps out everything except meadow voles.

I remember as a kid, us having problems with deer in the field corn. Dad contacted the local DEC officer that still lives very close to us. He gave Dad a box of 12 ga. "Scare" shells that you could shoot into the area where the deer were, and they would go off with another "bang!" The DEC officer proceeded to tell Dad... "If you happen to accidently put a deer slug in the gun and "scare" any to death, I wont say a word. Hope this takes care of your deer problem." ;-)
