Default Supersteer axle for 782

My 1985 782 steers a little hard and doesn't turn very short like most of the tractors from that era. I would like to install the supersteer axle from the Cyclops tractor but would like to keep Ross steering box. I am not quite ready to install power steering.

Is there a Cub Cadet tie rod that attaches from the steering arm on the Ross Box to the steering arm on the left steering knuckle?

You would get all of the parts from the donor Cyclops. They used a manual Ross style box in them. The column was shortened for the tilt wheel.

The steering box/column from a 1989 Cub Cadet garden tractor is a different ratio, and are easier to turn than the older boxes.

My 782 turns like power steering since I mounted tri-ribs up front.

May not be an inexpensive option but tri ribs do work nice!

Did that for my 882 and never looked back.
Money well spent.

For me on my 125, they have been better in snow than the turf style tires, but not a total solution. I've pondered putting more weight on the front end to help even more.

Works real good with the plow lifted, but when you drop the plow, the front end goes where the plow dictates. If the plow is angled, heavy snow will push your front end sideways.

But I have plowed with larger vehicles and they all do the same thing to a greater or lesser extent. If it's a wet snow, it gets worse.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
