Default New 1450

Well, if you've been following my saga, this is where it finally ends. I had my 1200 stolen a few months ago and I've been searching for a suitable replacement. The earlier winter snow put a lot of pressure on me, so I had to pull the trigger.

I found a guy in Milwaukee (4 hours away) that is selling off his fleet. As a hobby, he rebuilds cub cadets. I picked up the 1450 with dual hydrolic sticks. It's in amazing condition and runs like it just came from the dealership.

If that thing is as mechanically solid as it is cosmetically restored you're going to be set! Looks really nice. Now go pick up a junker so you can have something to turn wrenches on.

Congratulations on the 1450. That tractor looks great. I have one also and is one of my favorite models.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
