Default IH Cub Cadet 100 or 122

Going to look at a 100 and a 122 that a man has stating they are in good condition. Of course one does not know until one lays eyes on them. I am feeling optimistic so will go with a way to haul one home.
If one follows me home will post picture(s).

You can save yourself a return trip if you go with a way to haul two home.

Ironman, very wise thinking. Two is better than one.

Default 100 or 122

I made the 94 mile one way trip to look at the 100 and the 122. The 122 came home with me. So you know, this will be a working tractor not a mower. Nor a collector piece. It looks good and runs good. The engine purrs along as nice as can be. The steering is tight with no slop at all. The tranny is good. I am pleased.

That's a cool tractor AND it has the creeper.

Great score.

Any pics of the 100?

Great looking tractor! Are you going back for the 100? You can’t have just one.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
