Default Break in

I just finished rebuilding a K241 in my 100. My first time. It runs great. I had much help and guidance from a close friend and member of this site. I asked about the procedure for breaking it in. He suggested I ask here and get a few different points of view. Thoughts?
Thank you,
Jeff

My suggestion would be to follow the Guidelines, as contained in the Kohler K Series Service Manual.

Thank you. All I saw in the service manual was testing it on the bench at low to mid throttle to adjust the carb etc. I always thought there was a procedure on how to operate it for the first certain number of hours. One guy said to run it at different rpm's for different lengths of time. One guy said to load up a drag wagon and drag it around at a high rpm. So I am at a loss on what to do properly without damaging all the work I just put into it.

Work the motor as you would normally and at the end of 8-10 hrs, change the oil.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
