Default Well so far so good

I have picked up my CC109. it is not running at this point. Needs a new battery first of all. The previous owner said that he thought that the points were bad. pulled the cover off the points and they look ok. Haven't had time to check the gap. I'm wondering if maybe the push rod that operated the points could be worn from what he was saying. do you have to pull the fly wheel to change out the push rod?

I won a 44" mowing deck for about $75. on Ebay but its costing me $158. to get it shipped. I also won a mule drive, and sub frame each from a different seller so I had to pay seperate shipping on each. The parts were relatively inexpensive, the shipping is what hurts.

I got the Cub 109 for $300 on Ebay no shipping. The guy that had it is in my home town.

I also went out and bought a new trailer to haul the Cub, that was another $1400 dollars . (5'X10' trailer) 3500 lb Axle. I plan on useing it for more than hauling the cadet around.

I guess that I'm doing my part to stimulate the Economy.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
