sleeve it and have headaches.

I wouldn't even waste the time and money.

Find another block. There all over the place. There in wheel horses. There in lot of old 60s to 70s tractors.

People sell them Toro, WHs for cheap because it blew the deck or what have you.
or just don't know. You know what I am saying there.. lol

My reasoning is, stress cracks. Yeahm sleeve it. but the cylinder will probably crack like a windshield does from stress over time. You loose the force holding the sleeve in. I could be wrong. old man ego will know better.
but that's me and my thoughts. 6 cents as everything as tripled in price. hahha

I think....A lot of those k301 blocks are a little different.... I think it has to do with the oil pan mostly and you need one to fit the Cub. Can somebody reinforce my thoughts and comments?

Yes some blocks are model specific, like longer connecting rods different oil pans etc.
google it as some WWW. links no longer work, or not permitted here.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
