Changing oil on a 104
There is a sheet of metal under the engine on my 104 I got last week and I want to change the oil, it looks like there is 4 screws holding the sheet metal
under the engine, I think if I remove the sheet metal I will find where to drain the oil, is this right, and is there a reason for the sheet metal ?

Yes its under that I have a few of the "skid plates" layin around I've never had one attached to the tractor though. But the oil drain is up in there thanks for the reminder to I need to put them on both my 123 and 1650

Cubby Thanks for the info. from the looks of the oil and the plate I don't think the oil has ever been changed, I think I will take the deck off and that will make it easyer to get to, and I can get it a lot cleaner,

taking the deck off helps quite a bit for sure, im sure it has been changed, just not in a very long time lol

Hi Cubby: I got two cadets in the same week, I got 1650 on a monday and the next sunday I got the 104 and I have a LT-1018 I got about 2 years ago for 100 bucks with only 87 hours on it, I also have two craftsman and two old snappers, and a 1951 Farmall Cub, and a 1953 Ferguson TO-30

nice collection, i just have a 62 original with fenders 3 point and spring assist, a 123 a 124 and a 1650, a mustang mower and two others that are similar to a mustang mower.... i dont have room for the big toys

I don't have much room here and don't use the big toys for much,
I have a boom pole on the Ferguson for moving metal around in the welding shop and I use the Farmall cub for brush hoging a small spot and moving trailers around, we only have an Acre and 1/4 of land, and we put up a new barn last year.
