Any slop in the screw feed?
Slop will make thread cutting very hard. |

Mizar N68X-
Don't know yet...I won't see it in person until the middle of December, as it's home in IL and I'm at college in FL. I'm not sure how much thread-cutting I'll be doing. It needs to be made functional first. It's 3-phase but we probably have a comparable 1-phase motor around somewhere. william1041200- I've been looking for awhile. In high school, I'd true up pressure plates on the lathe, and I've been lucky to know someone that lets me use their lathe when I need one. It'll definitely be nice to have one right in my own garage so I can make something immediately if I need to. |

Excellent find Matt, you really will wonder how you ever survived without it...
You can get a static converter for a little over $100.00 a rotery converter will cost $3/4 hundred. I prefer a rotery, but either one will serve the purpose.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
