Looks like you guys got lucky. The closest one for me is in Ithaca NY, a drive of about 25 miles. Not bad really. In fact, it's halfway between myself and DirtySteve. We've actually met in the Harbor Freight parking lot to exchange parts then when in and egged each other into buying something! There are rumors that ours (in Ithaca) might be closing as the landlord wants to rent to a larger tenant. Bummer!

I had my "FINALLY" back around 2011 when a HF store opened a few miles away. Since then, I've only bought a couple things. Their US General tool boxes ain't so bad and I bought one for my Dad for Xmas a few years ago. And there was a time I bought a couple cheap 1/4 drive sockets so l could improvise (destroy) it to remove a busted push button from a lift handle on the Cub Cadet. That's all I ever bought from them! Been there several times.

That's great! They have some good stuff. And if you break or lose something, it's cheaper to replace.

Good for you! I've generally had good luck at harbor freight but I'm a hobbyist. I don't buy power tools there that I expect to keep around for a long time or use often.

Most stuff goes on sale with coupon every couple months so if you don't need something right now, you can wait for it to go on sale. Otherwise, as others mentioned they typically have a 20% or 25% off on a single item. I'd almost go as far as saying you should never buy anything there without using a coupon of some kind.

It's going to be really nice having a store like this in the area, can't wait to go look around and spend some money.
Our finally is coming next spring. Rural King in a closed Kmart. Hf is 30 miles from here. Now if we could just get a Home Depot or Lowes that would make the other 2 yea hoos shape up. Mike

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
