Default M&W 9 Speed Serial # Registy

Hey guys,
Haven’t posted in quite some time, a guy over on Facebook is looking for any owners of M&W 9 Speeds to post their serial #s to better keep track of all the ones that are known left out there. If you don’t want your name posted just the serial number can be posted, if you don’t want to publicly post it here send a PM. Thanks.

Judging by the list does this mean they only made around 100 of them?

Default M&W 9 speed

That is what Geezer told me he talked to Misners son and thought they only made 100. I had 1076 and sold it to Geezer and he sold it to some one in the Northeast before he died.

I have made the list to the supposed 100 known, and if we find a serial Higher than what I have made so far I will add them.

It couldn’t have been 1076 because a guy on Facebook has 1076, there is a picture of it.
Edit: Geezers is 1072.

IIRC, Charlie owns a bunch of those. I missed one in California a few years back that was on a tractor for $1k. It didn't last 2 hours on the IHCC site and it was gone.

How about a photo so the uninitiated can see what a M&W 9 speed is , A drill , a pushbike , a gearbox , washing machine , blender

It's a gearbox for an Original that gives you 9 speeds forward and 3 reverse. Here's one for sale for $20k.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
