Just like a damn forklift though, they cram 10 pounds of poop in a 5 lb box.
This one has a continental. It runs well. Yes, Impco system but I think it might have been gasoline at one point. Opening on back of tug where fuel tank filler would have been is covered by a plate that is definitely not stock

I am pretty sure those wheel loaders and other "Michigan" brand equipment was built in the Benton Harbor, MI plant.
About 20 miles from where the first 40 years of my life were spent.
Clark, Whirlpool and Auto Specialties employed around 20,000 people in the 1950's 60's and 70's.
I think by 1990 they were all closed due to expense of manufacturing in the area.

Google "Clark airborne dozer" for a very small dozer they made during WWII to be parachuted into an area to start an airstrip.
This is what I found. Im guessing the 2 different plants are not far from each other?

So here is the drive line after a little cleanup. We will be going through it and replacing clutch and all associated parts. We will reseal engine "it ran fine" change oil in the rear and trans. Everything in the front end looks real good and all is tight. Grease fittings on everything that moves on this thing and judging by condition they got grease often.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
