Default Went Fishing

I went fishing yesterday and noticed the bloke sitting next to me was using liquorice as bait.
I said, "Do you catch much with that?"
He said, "Bloody allsorts mate."

I do....and it isn't an Aussie thing!! Funny......

here's what's up:

Liquorice allsorts (also spelled licorice allsorts) consist of assorted liquorice sugar candies sold as a mixture. These confections are made of liquorice, sugar, coconut, aniseed jelly, fruit flavourings, and gelatine. ... Allsorts are produced by many companies around the world today.

That's why our friend from down under spelled allsorts as one word and not two!

It is a double use of the word "allsorts".....the bloke said he is catching allsorts...."all sorts" of fish, as in all kinds of fish and "allsorts licorice" when he pulls his line in, he has "allsorts licorice" on it, so he is catching "allsorts" of licorice.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
