Ah, Okay, I see now! Thanks Y-Sam. So once he gets it on the stand, he pulls a group of 2x6's so he can crawl under and see what's up. Very ingenious, or Wile.E.Coyote like: Suuuuper-Genius!
I'm sorry, but I just wasn't getting the picture from the words. Got it 100% now though. Please thank your friend for me.
I hope you were planning on using your 2x4 thick wall tubing for the frame, and not the slats! Them would get heavy real fast...

Alright, after further review, you got me to really wondering. Why all the milk crates?

Hmmm?

LMAO, I was kinda wondering the same thing, they weren't there when I was there, a few weeks ago. I need to write back and thank him for the pics, I may ask then... I was guessing parts bins, but don't know for sure.

He wrote back this morning and said,

"The milk crates, I bought 28 of them at a yard sale, $5.00 for the whole pile."

Not sure what you guys think, but I think milk crates are as handy as a shirt with two pockets!

I have some milk crates , they make perfect stools (seats) when working on things. They work great for keeping your dirty greasy parts from rolling all over everything on the way to the shop also.

First three are of the table in the small shop. Last two pictures are in the big shop. Pictures didn't come out too good but you can get the idea. I would estimate both tables to be 750+ lbs each. The table in the small shop is about 50-inches wide and 72-inches long. The table in the big shop is about 56-inches wide and 84-inches long. I have had my John Deere 430 on both of them, the 430 weighs in about 2000 lbs. Don't know what I would do without either of the tables.
What the heck is all that "green" stuff???? Did I log onto the wrong website!??

Lmao, you've heard of "keep your friends close and your enemies closer". Well this isn't exactly like that but, he sends me the yellow stuff. Even though we don't agree on the brand, you just can't not like a guy that sends Cub Cadets your way.

He has sheds and barns full of the green stuff, at one time he had more than 100 running tractors, all green!

Default Drive-on Grease Rack

Hi guys, I saw your queries about the trappings of those of us with "ADVANCED CHRONOLOGY," and had run across this possiblely simple fix for the ailment. I hope that this info is useful to someone besides me. I haven't finished building it yet, but I've gotten the materials together so now I'm looking for that elusive entity-----TIME!!

Default Drive-on Grease rack

Thanks A.Cecil, I was on some Cub-related website and saw that and figured that it wasn't too large to obstruct the working area and with the removeable center section, access to the underside was a lot better. Now if I can just figure out how to rig up a hammock underneath....

One thing that I feel should be mentioned, seeing as how stupidity can't be legislated against, one must take care not to drive off either side or the end of the rack as possiblely many more parts would likely be needed afterwards!!

Also, I can maybe see the need for a little extra bracing, but I'll know better when I get mine together.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
