Gorilla lift

Any of you guys ever use these on your trailers? Wondering if they are worth it. Every time I go to lift my ramp gate up it seems to get heavier.

Seen a few trailers with those. For some reason I think they may come in different sizes to match your gate size/weight. Knew one guy that had it on his trailer and he liked it.

Looks like a great idea. However, I wonder if the device will easily allow you to lay the gate facedown on the trailer bed as if to save fuel? Locking the gate upright on my trailer makes my truck thirsty.

Billy, yes those tailgates do create drag. If you don't like it, the best thing you can do is remove it and just use a set of ramps. You could also make a new tailgate that is by-fold so that it is half as tall. All the trucks I have ever owned didn't care. They either already got bad mileage, (Chevy 454) or had enough power it didn't affect it (Dodge Cummins). |

My trailer is supposed to be designed as a skid steer hauler,,,
so, I kinda think my ramps are pretty stout,, You can lift the ramp with one hand, the ramp pins to the side of the trailer with a lynch pin that is normally used for a 3 point hitch,,, I would not want a flip up tailgate ramp,,, |

You don't have a leg under those ramps, no way I'd drive a skid steer or anything else heavy into that trailer. My trailer has them on the ramps and I've still had situations where loading caused the rear of a 1 ton truck to move.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
