Default What's a 1882 worth these days?

I am thinking about letting my 1882 SGT go. I have not bought or sold a Cub for a while let alone a SGT (which is kinda rare round these parts of VA). Here is what she looks like and I have been mowing with this tractor for the past 5 years without a hitch. What ya think?

The bumper alone is worth $150. Nice looking unmolested tractor. I'd ask $1500 or so. How many hours?

That's not a factory MTD front bumper, but still looks great and has value to the right person.

I'd say that its value is $1300-$1600.

Wink

Yes, that's the OEM 190-398-100 bumper. The one on the Super in this thread looks like one of the repro bumpers from a board member here.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
