I just acquired 1450 and I've searched for the reason to have the front hyd. I can't find any attachments. I would like some info.

The reason it has the front outlets is because it was ordered that way, or someone has added them.

They were an option from IH

Any examples of things that use use a front hydro attachment you've seen? adding a dual spool valve to my 1450 is tempting because snow plowing would be a lot easier with a cylinder on the blade but i was wondering what else it might be useful for.

Hydraulic power is always better than manual power

If you if have tools and some skills, you can make quite a few handy attachments. Like a heavy rake with a thumb for dozing and picking up brush. Or a light set of forks for moving pallets or lumber. Johnny Bucket.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
