Default 169 general idea of what to ask for price

This was my Grandpas when he passed no one wanted it. I have it now, anyone know how much to ask for it as I really don't have room for it. Everything works starts and moves and deck works. He had it since new. It mainly just sat in garage he mowed with occasionally. Here are the pictures we do have the air filter and cover just not on in pictures. . Located in Southern Illinois. Thanks!

There are several things that effect the value of a machine like yours. Can you post a pic of the serial tag, engine tag and are there 13 fins on the engine cylinder? I see it has the wrong muffler and seat. These aren't deal killers but will effect the value.

Once Grandpas tractor is gone you most likely wont get it back. I'd try and keep it if possible.

I'd make room somehow to keep things like that for sentimental value.
My Father passed 55 years ago, and I think of him daily as I use tools that were his.
I swear the handles are still warm from his hands while showing me how to use them, when I was very small.
Sorry I can't give you a value of the 169, but I'm sure others will help.

The last one I bought after looking for several years was 2 years ago.
It was $350 and it was about 100 miles away.
I paid the asking price, no questions asked.
It also had the correct muffler, seat and hydraulic lift w/a deck. Needed a carb is all and good tuneup to make it functional.

Here is a picture of the serial tag. I may have seen the muffler and grabbed it also. I'll have to check. I'll have to check the motor tag and fins tomorrow, where would the motor tag be located?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
