OK, I have spent some time today to dig into this. I called Charlie Proctor from CCSpecialties (a Cub Cadet Parts Dealer) and didn't get anywhere. Here in another Cub Cadet "vague area". I went back to the Parts Lookup Site and didn't find an answer.

I drew up a Matrix to better understand the situation. See attached. I reread your original post trying to gather more information. From that post, I see no mention of the Mounting Kit that you have.

So, from the Installation Manual, this 364 could be installed on the Q/L Series, 82 Series GT, and the 82 Series SGT. Each having their own Mount Kit.

Since I can NOT find a Parts Listing, and the Owners Manual does NOT address this, I am going to "assume" that the Drive Belt is the 954-0284 which is 5/8" x 41".

You perhaps don't know what Mount Kit you have. I hope the lower pulley is of the 5/8" belt thickness size. You could always take a string and go around the OD of both pulleys and measure the length. The 5/8" belt size would a "section B" belt. Buy a belt that fits those dimensions.

The size of the belt is going to be dependent on the Mount Kit being used.

This is the best I can do, with the limited information to go by.

Thanks for digging in Roland. That image is actually helpful. I’ll bet I have the GT one. And I’m trying to fit it on an SGT. it came with a GT. I don’t know which one I have because there are no markings. I can say the 5/8” belt fits into the V perfectly. I didn’t know there was yet another mounting kit for SGT. I have attached photos of how it sits right now.

The 190-421-100 is the extension kit. not a pto kit.

You’re correct

Though I didn’t use that, everything lines up with the front bolts of the gear box and there’s holes in the frame in the right spot for the bracket.

May I suggest, since it appears you can use a 5/8 wide belt:
Tractor supply and others usually have a liberal return policy on a non used belt
so,get a belt or two shorter than you have and then you can fit one correctly and return the other or both for that matter.
I will say a belt in that application need not be a factory belt to live long, as it is not subject to 1/4 twists.
BUT it is subject to the full H.P. of the engine when swallowing snow BTDT.

I hate to dredge this thread up again, but since I'm the OP I think it's fine.

We finally had a decent snow that I could get this thing out and use it on. I did switch to a 5L400 belt and it fits better. BUT, I had multiple problems.

One is the dry powdery snow turned to a heavy rain just as I started clearing my driveway. So, I had jamming issues in the chute. I've had that problem before with wet heavy snow, it's a pain but explainable.

Next, for some stupid reason, the blower will not lower to the ground, it sits about 2" off the ground all the way down. Everything is working as far as the lift, the down stop thing is not even installed at all so there's nothing stopping the travel. I cannot comprehend why this thing has so many issues on my tractor, but I'm just going to end up selling it and going back to a self contained snow blower. I have been searching for years for a snowblower tractor combo to save my back but it's been nothing but a pain in the rear.

I'm going to post it for sale over in the for sale section. It'll fit a non-super tractor perfectly, or if you know how to get it on a Super then be my guest.

Sorner,
If it doesn't lower to the ground, take the lifting/lowering rod off and if then it goes to the ground, your problem is the lift rod is too short.
AND wet snow needs more forward speed to keep the throat clear.
Keep it stuffed full or it will clog as you experienced.
Also it needs full RPMS to keep it coming out of the chute.
Don't give up to easily, you will get it right.

George, thanks for the encouragement. I’m good with giving up. There isn’t a lift rod for this blower. It has links that hook to the deck lift arms. I’m thinking they could be an inch longer and solve the whole problem but I’m just done messing with it.

Your call,
We are all here to help.
I've used my thrower as a push blade in heavy wet SHIT!
And when I stop pushing, I flip the switch to clear the throat.
Most times it will spit it out like a watermelon spitting contest, but other
times its just belt smoke & associated smell.

I was driving between Columbus and Coolville yesterday morning and experienced that wet slop/rain @ *32 on the roads.
It was not deep but some vehicles were visiting the pucker bushes on the sides of the road.
One little car went off and was sliding on its top in the ditch,
SCARY!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
