Thinking about putting a Diesel engine into a wide frame. What engine is the best to use or what have people used on the past and wheres the cheapest to get one. Going to end up putting a turbo on it. Pros, cons, thoughts.

To make things simple and easy, I would use a Diesel that Cub Cadet already uses, ie: Kubota D600 or D640.

You have no idea what you just suggested. Nothing is a direct bolt in. If you have to ask what to use and for suggestions, it's likely out of your league. Guys who do it, do it. No questions asked. I've heard this kind of question far more than I've actually seen someone finish one.

Forget I even asked... ridiculous. I will post photos with what I find and what I do since asking questions or having ideas on this forum is frowned on. Where did that thread go about things to do to bringing more attraction to the forum go because shooting down people's ideas and thoughts instead of just helping them would be a big thing to address. No more comments on this thread please. Just close it down.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
