Default Air Cleaner Assembly
My Air Cleaner assembly on my 129 keeps coming loose from my carb, specifically the 3 screws are what keep coming loose. Do I need to just use some loc-tite on them or whats the deal. Also, is there supposed to be any sort of gasket between the carb and air cleaner assembly? I can't find one in any of the parts diagrams so i'm assuming there isn't.

Hey cory1982, welcome to OCC.

I had the same problem with one of my carbs so I glued a couple of stainless steel studs in with red locktite and used nylock nuts.

I have had to helicoil those holes on the carb on my 129, and on a 1250 that belongs to a friend of mine too.

That gasket can easily be made from the cardboard on a tablet back.

Make sure you clean out those threaded holes well with brake cleaner and then blow them out to make sure the locktite sticks.
