Default Seat that screws into bottom of Carter model N

I am looking for a replacement part that screws into bottom of Carter model N carburetor. It's threaded with a screw driver slot. I think it's the main needle valve seat. You have to remove fuel bowl bolt to unscrew it.
Don't know what it's called or if you can buy one. At this point, I would machine one myself if I could find a drawing! Thanks,
Scott

I think you are referring to item #13 in the attached image. That is #385483-R91 Needle & Seat Assembly w/spring. That is now replaced by Kohler #KH-25-757-01 Carb Kit.

Pretty sure that is the inlet seat. This is actually the center seat that the needle screws into. I'm afraid I drilled it out because I couldn't remove it. I thought that is need to to come out and be cleaned separately but it would not unscrew so I drilled it out thinking it was with the rebuild kit but it isn't. You live and learn I guess..

That was the main jet /emulsion tube,
opps

Good thing is you can get a used carb, or a china carb from ebay.

Post what you need and one of the guys here might be able to fix you up with one,--- or one of our sponsors @ the top of the page.

Usually a person just rounds off the screwdriver slot, but I've been guilty of having some that just wouldn't come loose. I've made a stubby screwdriver that I sandwich between vice jaws so it won't back out, and still had problems.
See if there is a number on the damaged jet, as some carbs have one.Not only is the jet sized, but the cross holes in the tube are sized also.

You are not the first, and I guarantee you are not the last to do that.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
