Only one 2 stage blower was made to fit the QL tractors. That was the IH model 364, 45" snowblower. But, you have to have the proper front adapter for that tractor. They are a very rare find. Good luck.

That's all the info you really need.... rare. If you want a 2 stage, you are better off getting a spread frame tractor and looking for a 450. Or a cyclops, and a 451. Biggest advantage of a 2 stage is throwing distance, not much else.

I already have an 1811 with a 450, and a hard Cozy Cab. So, yeah, that would be my preference.

The single stage snow throwers will move the snow 25+ feet away. Of course if it is slushy snow, that distance decreases, but that is true for a 2 stage snow blower as well.

Edit: I reread your statement, and maybe I misinterpreted it.... but a two stage will throw farther. |

In NW Montana, I would guess the snow is pretty dry. A snowblower will blow a long way. You will learn about wind direction and which way to blow the snow and how high. A cab will be beneficial as the blowing snow in your face gets cold and old quickly.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
