Default Help identifying Deck

Gents,

Can someone help me identifying this deck? I looked and either the tags have been removed, or painted over. I need an idler spring and not sure witch one i need. It came on a 1200 that I just bought the other day.

Thanks

Below is a link to the information you need. I bought your books and sent you to school... but I'm not going to take the test for you.

Looks like a 3rd series 48” deck to me. Here’s your IPB.

Thanks to all who legit posted helpful comments. I did in fact look through the technical libraries for the requested info before posting, but for some reason most of the deck manuals would not load on my computer. This tractor is also not at my property it is at my fathers, so getting measurements isn't as easy as it sounds.

I did make it out there this weekend and the blades tip to tip do measure 48" to the outside 2 tips, and are all 3 equal lengths if that helps

Thanks for the help so far guys.

In that case I would have to agree with sir_lancealot.

Yeah. Looks like a series 3 48”. Don’t see too many of those around. Equal size blades is a tell on 48” triangle decks.

Looks like you’re missing the covers and discharge extension, as well as whatever attaches the idler pulley to the deck.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
