One of my high school friends ( two years older ) got a job with a landscaping company right out of school.
He dropped a 14" round oak tree right into the bed and across the center of the cab, totalling out his mint '69 Ford F250 ( in 1977 ) Made the front page of the local paper |

Kind of interesting how the lights on the roof were not damaged. You do fast work!

I am surprised that roof skin was spot welded it versus done only with adhesive.

That's fast and neat work... you need to use special drill bits for spot welds? What did you use?

I finally got the roof painted, I was planning to do it yesterday but I had to stay home thanks to the flu. I'm still sick as a dog but managed to get it done, it's in bake right now at 145° for the next 45 minutes and when it comes out I will be able to put it together.

It's all back together with the exception of the glass, the glass guys are coming Monday to install two new windows. The headliner is also new and if you thought $700 for the roof skin was expensive how about $900 for the headliner? Ever wonder why car insurance is so expensive?.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
