I did some mowing down the driveway and along the fences with the 2064 today. Then ran the York rake down the driveway with the 2155 to fill the potholes. I wanted to take the 782 to clean up the pulloff at the mailboxes but it wouldn't start. So, I now have starter relays on all 3 CH20s in the fleet. I did the 1863 at my grandmother's a few weeks ago when I did the spring service on it, and replaced all $30 worth of shoulder bolts on the deck hanger. Anyways, just happy it's not raining!

Thanks Todd! They are rare in these parts too!

I think the fleet needs a bath after looking at that engine. I am almost embarrassed, except that they work for a living, like me.My wiring was done in 2 minutes and works, so whatever. One day they might look good, if they work hard enough!

Me too. My last two I restored original but then I saw Norman on "isavetractors" build his 149 TLB and he did it in solid yellow and I thought it looked pretty cool. I'm gonna leave the front wheels IH white and the rears I'm doing the center white and the rim surround yellow.

Default dolly wheel repair + added accessories

Recently bought an ATV dump cart with wide flotation tires. And added a JD bagger vac to the 48" GT mower deck. Bagger is a 5hp motorized version that attaches to the 3 pt hitch. 2 of the mower deck wheels and the swivel bracket brass bearings are worn badly. Wheels have never been greased by the last 2 owners. I used brass plumbing fittings I have a surplus in my plumbing toolbox to make new bearings for the swivel bracket. The 2 dolly wheels needed a brass bushing on the inner side only. The brass was worn down to a thin ring. The 3/4" hole of the dolly wheel fit the diameter of the plumbing part. Drill a 1/2" hole, saw off what brass is not needed and use a heat gun the soften the plastic and push in the wrench part of the brass fitting flush.

Pulled my 44 deck apart to prep for paint, tried to bend my mule drive pulleys back, but to no avail. Pulled the front tire off the 1250 to test the condition of the bearing and spindle.
Man, 44 decks are heavy! I guess that's a good thing, though. With a light deck you don't get a smooth cut on rough lawns. That deck is also pretty strong, but it's weaker because of the rust. Luckily the paint isn't peeling and it's only surface rust.
Eventually I'll have to take my snowblade and pull it apart to check the condition of everything.
My deck has 0 patches and 2 holes, but they're puncture wounds. She's mint, bud!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
