42" blade overhaul
Since acquiring my 42" front blade last summer, it's been in need of paint. I used it last winter and summer is the best time for paint to adhere. Here is a pic of it last winter.
 Starting the tear down:  I wasn't going to completely tear it apart but there are surprisingly few pieces and it was easy to disassemble.  I had some spray 935 sitting around so I tried that on the lift rod and sub frame.   I borrowed my dads/brothers angle grinder with wire wheel for paint removal.  Red oxide primer, 935 white, and thinner.

Did some wire wheeling yesterday. My workbench is a mess, but it sure does work good.
  Top: old spring. Bottom: paint removed spring.

It's been a while, but I finally got on the horse and started work on this thing.
Finished up on the paint/rust removal. Turned out decent.   Found out the pin was supposed to be welded in and was not. My brother fixed this up for me as he has access to a welder and I do not. I wasn't going to be concerned with it right now but then I discovered that the frame would not stay connected to the blade if the pin wasn't attached...  Parts were cleaned with alcohol before paint.
