Decals for QA42A and Mule drive
Hello all, I have a couple of questions as I restore my 582 Special, 44C deck and snowthrower:
a. What is the correct placement of the decals on the mower deck? b. I have contacted Maple-Hunter about making some decals tractor (patent numbers and lift handle numbers) and the mule drive diagram (no response as of yet). Does anyone know anyone who makes custom decals? c. Does anyone have a photo of a QA42A with its decals? If I can find someone to make them, I will certainly make the decals available on this site. Doen't the QA-42 have the "INTERNATIONAL" decal, like the 1A tiller?

Are the decals are in the same place as the QA36A? Before I tore down my QA36A thrower I took detailed pics of the decals with a ruler laid by them to size them. I was thinking the same thing about getting decals made. I was just going to a sign shop to get them made. I can supply the vector files of the decals the sign shop or the printer needs. That will reduce the cost of the decals if they have the correct files. Let me know . . .

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
