Gary, you are missing a ground foot pad. I think they have 2, could be 3. I have 2, and I have seen 2 on most in pics, such as in the manual.

Someone else asked how it cuts with that red plate on it... Thats a transport guard. It comes off.

First off, Gary that Haban looks Sweet on the 127 Kinda hoping I come across another one someday! Second, it was great meeting you and Duke and thanks for dinner

William's on it, I think you need another guide foot. Williams did come with 2 of them, one not mounted. Glad to see you got it mounted up and all the parts ARE there. Good luck dialing it in and can't wait for the vids. Those teeth are a little more rusty than I thought, sorry about that, I could have been hitting it with PB for months

I did 1997 miles in 3 days!! Now that's yellow fever runnin wild!!

Jude, glad you made it back safe... that was a lot of driving in a short amount of time!!! I had a great time too, I think 'hambone' did too!!! He LOVES dogs!

That's no problem on the teeth, I didn't know what to expect on them, but I believe William has the hookup source for possibly complete bar assemblies, if nothing else the individual knives. But I believe these are going to be fine once they get some movement.

I'm looking a parts list I found and it shows 1 outer shoe Ref #17 P/N 5571 and 1 inner skid shoe Ref #61 P/N 3604 A. I've got both of those. I'm not exactly following you on the ground foot pad.

I found a set of pics on cubcadetman.com (photos) and his sickle is clearly off the ground almost the same height as the foot rest. However his clearly is a different model sickle, his attach points on the front are to the frame or grill whereas on the 402-D it uses the brackets over the axle. So I dunno....

I think the only actual thing I'm going to need is a new belt, the one going from the jackshaft to the sickle. I'm not much on belt measurements but the description is: P/N S-188 (B-51 - 53.8 O.C.) Any clues on that, 53.8" long?

Looks much better Gary, Id take that belt down to TSC or Napa, and measure it up to find the correct size..if its stretched, you might want to go an inch shorter than what you measure.....cant wait to see a video

I found a database with all the haban belts, it is a 5/8 belt, which I figured, but the listing still says 53.8 O.C. whatever that is. All the other belts for different mowers say whatever it is in inches... Probably going to have to go the napa route and just take it in.

OK I've found what looks like an impossible grease plug.... Do they make a right angle adapter for a gun, or should I just get a right angle plug.... I see no way to get to it, and it looks pretty important.

You might try a needle in your grease gun.

I'll have to look at mine, I never noticed the fitting before but I haven't mounted it yet.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
