Presenting the sickle.... now to work out the bugs
Well I got a little more done today than what I expected.... I got the Haban wiped down a little, tried some cleaning wax and I'm pretty pleased with the result.
The sickle mounted easy enough, but there's still a few bugs I need to work out. One is it's mostly dragging the ground on the bar side, there's got to be a way to adjust that... Another was the knives were pretty much rusted tight... about an entire can of PBblaster and soaking. Now I've got to get the v-belt adjusted, it's real loose... I've got a scanned manual, but it's horrible quality once I got looking at the pictures, basically a copy of a photocopy... impressive sir (cheetos cheeta reference )
at our local flee market last week a man was selling a old front drive tiller /snow pusher / sickel style brush cutter for $75 it looked early 60 era he said he thought it was a David Bradley. I might have bought it if I drove my truck I am thinking of mounting a 2 cycle lawn boy to make a verticle brush cutter I do not understand how yours cuts exactly under the red plate hun Don

Oh ya.... I'm definitely going to do some videos.... I guess everything just went too smooth at 1st yesterday. Like I said, I got to figure out how to adjust the bar so that it's not dragging the ground and either get the belt v-belt tension correct or find a new belt.
