windbreaker for the rops
I have never seen mention of this option before i ran across this particular windbreaker ad, but I have seen a picture was used in Kenneth Updike's book FARMALL CUB & CUB CADET. On all the other pictures he points out "rare" attatchments in the pictures that the reader may miss, however he just calls this a full vinyl cab enclosure, however it is mentioned in the previous page that the protective canopy option is the oddest and rarest in his opinion. So I would think that it would make this windbreaker option even rarer beings the rops is needed and should have been brought attention to. (notice the triangular rops brace visiable and the fringe top which clearly gives this away) The sales option for this would have been 407 380 R1 which is no longer a searchable number on Cub Cadets parts look up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
