plowday update, after consulting with the people that are renting the farm, we have a change of location, to a different farm owned by my family, with up to 60 acres to plow. My wife wants to change the food, she will do everything for lunch, cost will be $5 per person, let me know if this is something that would be acceptable.

the farm is aprox. 200 acres, I think there will be room for a buy-sell-swap area, so bring your junk, er, I mean extra parts/tractors.

Plenty of room for trading, camping, general horseplay, plowing, tug of war, whatever we can come up with. Address for plowday is 16597 East ON Ave, Climax, MI 49034. It is located 1.8 miles east of the village of Climax on ON ave, large brick house near the road, we will be plowing the long field behind the barns. If we have enough people coming early, we may do some night plowing on Sat., depends on how many are there. There are hotels in both Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, both within 20 miles of Climax, lodging shouldn't be a problem for anyone, camping is welcome as well, no guarantee on having electricity for campers though.

We're going to try and make it to this one Hammerhead! I will probably bring a kid or 2 with me as well.

I won't look near as good as you guys on the old-school cubs, but looking forward to it nonetheless. I have NEVER plowed before, so I'm looking forward to some Expert advice on setup and all that jazz.

Scotty,
Look me up when you get there. I let you do a few rounds on this one:

Last time I went to this plow day the ladies used my trailer for a meeting place:

If anyone needs some help setting up a plow I may be able to help.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
