The slacker I've been lately, finally got the 782 in the shop this morning, and got the engine out. Seems it wasn't the flywheel side leaking, but the PTO side. Oh well, with the engine out, I can get the leaked oil cleaned up good.
Go pick the seal up in the morning. And get it back together. Should be no more leaking

Close one eye, looks straight. That's the old one...
Thanks for the offer Jon. But I've got enough stuff that "needs" attention. Pick up the some DAY you have time, and give me a call. Whole lot to "catch" up on...

Todd.. you have no reason to call yourself a slacker! I think you have had good reason to be a little slack! I wish I had half the motivation and determination that you do!

Hang in there.. you will get it! Be glad it's the PTO end... flywheel end is alot more work!

Post up some pics of that shiny red 782 when you are done! I need the motivation!!

I got it today. The worst part was getting the engine plate bolts back in. Of course, the back four went in like butter, but the two above the axle, I "always" fight, or fight me.
SO, I ended up taking the axle off, and they went right in. Oh well, everything is back together, and the floor is dry.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
