Default No more dogs.

We had to put our chocolate lab down yesterday, she has been having a number of issues for a while now and it finally got to the point where she could barely walk. We buried her up at my parents place near our black lab that passed away two years ago. I know people always say no more dogs at times like this but I really mean it, both of my labs had serious health issue and I just don't want to go through that again. No more vets, no more vet bills, no more watching dogs wither away to nothing, no more making decisions like the one we had to make yesterday. Maddy was a good girl when she wasn't ass deep in the garbage can and we could always count on her to clean up whatever was dropped on the floor. She loved Pop tarts and pizza crust and the crust from my boy's pb&j sandwich. I'm not much of a believer but I really hope there is a heaven and that my little girls have found each other and are happy and healthy and playing like they use to.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

I dread the day I have to deal with this with my two dogs. Hopefully it won't happen for years.

Really sorry to hear that. I don't know how I'll handle it when the time comes for my pitbull. Just monday she had surgery to remove some possibly cancerous lumps, her 2nd in 4 months. Losing my best friend will suck, but I'm not sure that negates several years of companionship and smiles a dog provides.

I can't imagine life with out dogs currently.. I can dream about it but not imagine it LOL.. We have 7 in total at the house right now. They are all rescues. 5 of them are in our "furever home" as the rescue people call it and we have 2 that we are fostering. The 5 we own are 1 border collie, 1 Rhodesian ridgeback, 1 bull mastiff, 1 jack russell, amd one mutt from Puerto Rico we call Pablo when he is bad

The 2 fosters are from South Korea. They are Great Pyrenees mountain dogs.

My wife is at home with them all day most days and takes care of them. She also runs a dog sitting business. "watches dogs in their home"

They are all a big pain in the but and it makes cleaning the mower deck less desirable when you miss a couple loads cleaning up.

Anyway. I am sorry for your loss.. Maybe someday you will feel differently again. I know I have said no more dogs before myself.. And now we got 7

Here are some pictures of the lovable pains in my ass!

Cant get the pictures to rotate

Sorry for your loss, it’s gut wrenching to go through. They become part of the family.

Sorry to hear about your dog Tim. I will be faced with that decision soon my dog is going to be 13 this year and has cancer.
You can't say no more dogs. the time it takes to get over their death is nothing compared to the years of enjoyment they bring to your family.

My condolences to you, been there and have done what you had to do several times now.
Does not get easier, but us dog keepers are suckers for a happy dog that never fails to make us smile.

"I'm not much of a believer but I really hope there is a heaven and that my little girls have found each other and are happy and healthy and playing like they use to."

I will admit that we believe there is something good for us after our time in our current "vessels". Again and again.

Sorry for your loss

Nothing and nobody lives forever, and I'm sure she had an extremely happy time on this earth with you. That's the best that any of us can hope for.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
