My 1650 is leaking fuel from where the valve shoves up into the tank there is a hole drilled in the tank and the valve has ribs on it with a piece of rubber hose over the ribs does this sound correct? What can I do to make it stop?

Replace the tank grommet. They are still available new.
Part call-out #4: https://www.cubcadet.com/webapp/wcs/...0-A/0028100004 On a quick interesting note, the section headings are messed up on the online parts book for at least the 1650. The muffler duct work, and the fuel tank and connections are under the opposite headings for some reason. |

made me remember I think I still have a 1963 Honda super hawk service manual around here someplace that has several pictures printed down side up and their interpreter back then, also left something to be desired. I have to cut them some slack as they had just started to import them back then. Little did we know then what was going to follow. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
