Here's the link to the tiller. He hasn't listed the tractor yet but told me he will be and to make an offer. It was supposedly garage kept and in great shape. https://rockford.craigslist.org/grd/...655988696.html

Pretty sure the 3240 only had provision for 3 hyd functions..... If that's wrong, where is the 4th lever going to go?? Only room for 3 in the left side cluster.

Wow, I've been looking for one of those 004 tillers for years and he has it priced for what they bring. Here is one on Ebay now. https://www.ebay.com/itm/CUB-CADET-3...0/113166430384 Someday I'll find one.
It's not a factory option but you can also add 3 more hydraulic levers on the right side of the fender pan too.

Oak, I see those POS hydraulic tillers for sale all the time. You can't find them?

Come on Jon, I know you want a 3k tractor. Maybe Santa will bring you one this year.
All kidding aside, I can't find one down here. I've seen several of the 30" ones but the 42" ones are kind of rare. I don't want a Deere one but go find me a Cub Cadet 004 tiller and I will send you up some cash.

Seriously, I will keep an eye out and holler next time I see one. That one in Rockford is quite a ways away from me. |

I have seen the hydro tiller in action and it works great, better then any belt tillers I've seen or used. It's a beast at almost 400 pounds. I found some killer deals on them this year, the best one was a mint GT3204 with only 207hrs on it for $500.00. The runner up was a older 580hr 3204 without a deck for $250.00. I found a 48" deck that cost $200.00. They don't have the locking rear end but I never need it anyways. If you can find one for a deal like that you could always sell it for a profit if you don't like it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
