Kinda sad.
It's a bit of a sad day here. The Viking and I just mowed the grass at the old house for the last time. She's been a good yard, always ready to be played on by my boy's or pooped on by my dog. When we moved in it was about 3' tall which is probably what it will return to, they won't mow it and I doubt they will find anybody willing to live here. I hope the Viking enjoys the new yard I bought for her, the new yard is on a hill and I just hope her old connecting rods are up to the challenge. With any luck I can get the Viking moved over there this weekend and if the weather is nice we'll cut the new yard for the first time.

Nice job one last time Tim. Although Might be worth telling the old landlord that you would maintain the grass since it’s so close to your new place until he finds a new tenant but sounds like theremay not be one. Long live the Viking!

Respect that you left the yard looking nice. The stand of grass looks full and healthy, deck appears pretty level.
So what kind of shape is the grass at the new house in?

Well Tim, all good things, must come to an end.
At first, by the name of the thread, then saw the picture of the "Viking" sitting in the yard, I thought you bload it up. Glad to hear it wasn't that.

I would only be sad mowing that good looking lawn the last time if I had spent 100's of hours topping with good soil, aerating, over seeding, fertilizing, spraying, etc. etc.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
