OK...I will stop. As I was told, if I buy a different brand tractor AND don't also fix up the Cub, I won't be part of the Cub community anymore.

BUT...if I do fix the cub, be forewarned that I will be here and asking questions for a L O N G time, so maybe what appears to be my decision really should be the decision of the membership......:big think: trial by jury, as it were.

Just please try to not over analyze everything. Please! How in the world did you ever decide which music to use and/or teach?
And you correct our grammar, too.

Won't know what shape the entire top surface is in until I take everything apart. I've only ever had the blades off but never anything beyond that.
You think those look rough? I see they are dusty. I thought you said yours had holes? Seems a new tractor may be the way for you to go after all. I shiny new one.

Now that you've met the welcoming committee, how do you like the Cub forum so far?

I'm looking for a deck too. They're out there!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
