Falcon you live in PA and it is cub central. Depending on where you’re located you may have others on here that would make the swap for you for a minimal fee or even some cold ones. Literally can be done in an afternoon by some here who have done it many times. If I was closer I would. Put some feelers out there about anyone interested that might be close, buy the engine and make it happen my good man.

Thank you for taking it in good nature. What ever your decision, I sincerely hope it all works out best for you. Now that being said, go out and by a $300 to $400 Crapsman/MTD to get you through the mowing and whatever, while you get through refurbing the 129.

After all, (and maybe this never crossed your mind), but if you become Cub-less you wouldn't fit in here like you do now. Think about that for awhile!

Seriously! It's like the old Olive Garden commercial..."when you're here, you're family" lol....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
