Did ours yesterday.
The recently resurrected 128 walkin' the dog through the tall grass in the "swamp". WOT 3rd gear compound with the deck in the high notch. On a tamer note, the front yard. Deck is a 44A. I think I have it dialed in pretty good. |

98 degrees where? Michigan????? We can't hardly get above 80 and it rains EVERY DAY. We've had 3 days without rain since Mothers Day. Right now the forecast is rain almost every day for the next 10.

We had temps no higher than 50 up until the second week of April (even had a snow/ice storm for Easter). Then two weeks of overcast/rainy days (two consecutive weekends at least of torrential downpours both days) then no rain for about 4 days, and now 90+ for the last three. It's gross. Basically went straight from winter into summer. Been running the AC for two days, and was running the heat like only a week or two ago. We get the remnants of Alberto by the end of the week. My far back yard is a low spot- the entire area behind the Cadet was under a foot of water a week ago- it just dried out enough to mow it today. Squishy sponge but it still cut it ok.
Speaking of rain, my friend that lives near Defiance Ohio has been trying to get his beans in the ground for the last two months- normally he plants a rye cover crop first- because of the rains he's drilling into 4' of the rye cover crop. He sent me a pic and all you can really see is the cab of his 5088 and the top half of the hood.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
