I don’t have a Case IH Agriculture dealer near me, but I do have an industrial dealer and they carry it. So that’s where I get mine.

I buy mine from Redline equipment in Adrian MI. They have other locations throughout north west ohio. Although I only bought it once because it's not something I need to change often.

I go to a CaseIH dealer. I would imagine a Cadet dealer would carry it but be careful--I think the very latest Cadets use a different fluid--don't hold me to that. I have been known to dump Deere's HyGard in a Cadet as well as IH farm tractors---Its my understanding the pumps on the Deere mowers are the same Sunstrand as on the Cadets (essentially). Lot of guys here (and everywhere else) just use whatever oil meets HyTran equivalency. And then there are those tightwads that get the cheapest stuff Walmart has that is called hydraulic fluid.

I can't believe how many people who don't live close enough to a dealer that sells hy-tran worry about using it. Just use something else. It isn't a "must" that you use the OEM oil. A John Deere tractor uses the same hydrostat as a Cub Cadet, but they recommend their oil. It really isn't important the brand, as it is the proper viscosity, or type.

Deere recommended Lo-Vis Hy-Gard for the little hydrostats...for example...314 has same base hydro as a 1450.

That's the opposite of what I keep reading. Most say that being a 42 year old 1250, don't even think about putting anything else in it but Hy Tran. But then again, after 42 years, you would think that there would have to be something equivalent to Hy Tran.
