Default Rear Lift Install

I have a 128 that I am trying to install the lift for my rear tiller attachment. I am having issues with getting the connecting rod that runs from the middle of the tractor to the rear to meet up with the lift handle. It seems to want to run into a wiring harness that is running down the frame rail. Does anyone have any pictures of how the connecting rod attaches to the lift handle?

Thanks

wiring should be on the left side of frame only thing that goes there is helper spring. The lift bar should slide into the frame on the right side you might want to put the lift block on the end of the lift bar before you slide it in.

I have a lift on my 108, and the wiring is on the same side as the lift rod. Just need to push it out of the way and wire tie it up so it doesn't interfere.

Looking at my tractor, the wires are coming down the right frame rail.

Look in the parts section for that model.
There is an exploded view that is self explanatory.

Yes, as they all do. The bar for the lift rides below the harness. If the wires are in the way, move the wires!

You should have wire hangers for your harness on your cub. If you look carefully at Ironman's cub that he has pictured, then you will see the wire clips to support the harness. It may be helpful for you to degrease your frame rails so you can better see what is going on in there. The hangers should pull the harness out of harm's way for your lift to work properly.

Thanks for your help. I think I had the bar installed backwards.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
